Charles Carroll Middle School Community Hub hosts 9th Annual Community Partners Expo -Bridging Socioeconomic Gaps and to Unifying the Community- On Saturday September 23, 2017, FBCOG-The Collaborative and its partner school Charles Carroll Middle School Community Hub will host its 9th Annual Community Partners Expo from 10am - 1:30pm, 6130 Lamont Drive New Carrollton, MD 20784. The Expo's theme is Community Health and Wellness. Free resources will be distributed to the community- They include fresh produce, school supplies, personal hygiene kits, household goods and more. There will be Community Partner Agencies from local and state agencies to engage, provide program service information and share resources with those of our communities. The Expo highlights the Community Hub’s partners and sets the stage for further collaboration throughout the school year. Lot’s of FUN ACTIVITIES, FOOD DEMO SAMPLES, & MORE! The Community Partner’s Expo is an extension of the Community Hubs monthly “Family Market” held every 4th Saturday at Charles Carroll Middle School. The mission of this partnership is to provide a “Holistic Approach to Education & Community”. It is the desire of our Principal, Mr. David Curry and his staff, the TNI@ Schools, The Collaborative, and the Hubs core partnerships to aide our students, their families, Charles Carroll MS feeder schools, and those of our communities to have accessible resources and supportive services to aide them in their daily lives. Our objective is to create synergy amongst community leaders to aide in bridging the service divide for those we serve in Unity~

September is Suicide Prevention Month and the mission of Celebrate Life is to teach people about the symptoms of depression, anxiety, and trauma related disorders in order to prevent suicide in order to prevent suicide. This is done by integrating the performance arts (music, dance, poetry, etc.) with testimonies of speakers and/or presenters. This is a free event, but attendees are asked to register via EventBrite. We also ask that you support vendors and consider donating to the church, presenters and/or performance artists for their participation in this event. Topics this year include: Removing Your Mask Don't Let the Arrogance of Your Mask Create Ignorance That Leads to Suicide Open Secrets: Addressing the Mental Health Problem in the Church Autism, Bullying and Depression Depression After a Loss-Death, Divorce, Separation or a Relationship Ends The event will also be streamed live in part or in its entirety via www.Babeliever.org and/or various social media forums.
